Embark on a wine-tasting adventure like no other with the Chenin Safari!

Join us for an unforgettable journey through the picturesque landscapes of wine country as you explore as many tasting rooms as you can in just six weeks. Savour the unique flavours and aromas of Chenin Blanc as you traverse through vineyards and cellars; tagging the producers and #DrinkChenin along the way, you'll earn the ultimate reward: an exclusive Chenin Safari shirt to commemorate your epic wine-tasting escapade.

For the challenge, participants have six weeks to visit six Chenin Safari stops or more. The more you visit, the better your chances to win! 

​

Please upload fun, creative photos of your visit to each tasting room to our tracker page to log your safari experiences. It is all about enjoying the visits.

 

We would also love you to engage on social media by uploading a photo of your visit, tagging @the_winery_name,  and adding the hashtags #DrinkChenin and #CheninSafari.  

​

Exploring the cycling and hiking trails are optional.  All you have to do to earn your shirt, is visit the tasting rooms and share your photos.

​

Make it even more fun by bringing friends together to explore and #DrinkChenin! The bigger your team, the more each stop counts towards winning the ultimate team prize.

Frequently asked questions

  • You do not have to visit the Chenin Safari stops on your mountain bike. The challenge is to visit at least 6 of the safari stops, to earn your shirt.  How you get there, is up to you.

  • You must use the safari stop tracker, you access via a QR code at each tasting room, to upload a photo of your visit. That is how we track your process, cheer you on and populate the leaderboard.

  • We also encourage you to post photos on your Facebook or Instagram platforms, using the #CheninSafari ,  #DrinkChenin and don't forget to @tag_the_winery. 

  • Please let the tasting room staff know that you are doing the Chenin Safari, as they will have special tastings available for you.  Please also visit the specials listed on this page.

  • Collection of your shirt and lucky draw will take place at the Chenin Festival at the end of the #CheninSafari on 8th June. 

  • Individuals and team prizes are available. Any individual participant cannot be part of a team. 

  • Prizes will be announced at the 8 June finale with Chenin Showdown for the top individual and team spots.
